The end of the school year is upon me/my students. T________T I'm going to miss them all so much! (Some more than others... but I'll miss them nonetheless ^_~) I worry about some of them and hope that they make smart choices in the future because have so much potential! On Friday I was given the task (as soon as I walked in the door) of coming up with a Father's Day craft activity to do with them in about an hour's time. @_@ Fortunately I was able to come up with something (and also incorporate some of my teacher's suggestions) for a really cute card. (I also made one to put on the Art Demo wall at the store... ^.^)

I'm definitely looking forward to the next few days that I have to spend with them. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get off of work for their "Promotion" Ceremony, but my Supervisor is letting me leave work for a few hours on Monday to participate in the faculty vs. 5th grade kickball game!

In other news, I'm not looking forward to having to go back to school in the Fall. I'm not very excited about the school I was assigned to because it's a PK- 9 Montessori school. I'm not sure how the Montessori method works in upper grades because from what the Principal said it seems like it's more focused on individual students working at their own pace rather than a teacher teaching lessons to the whole class. I guess we'll see. If anything it'll be experience for the future.
